Job Summary
This open position is to work for Community Housing in a variety of settings to include 24/7 CRA (Community Residential/Licensed Personal Care Homes), 24/7 CLS (Community Living Support) homes or one-on-one with individuals served in their own/family home.
The Community Housing Program provides support services 24/7 to include weekends nights and holidays which will require the ISW to work a flexible schedule. We are unable to guarantee shifts or specific days off. However, as a full-time employee, will be schedule a minimum 40 hours work week.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: at least 21 years old Valid Driver License No suspensions on your driving record in the last 5 years No more than 2 speeding tickets in the last 3 years High School Diploma or GED Must be available to complete our 8-day New Employee Training Session in STATESBORO, GA . Our training is 8 BUSINESS days long. It begins the first business day of each month. You must be available from 8a-5p for all 8 business days of training.
Certified Nurse Assistant, Personal Care Assistant or Direct Support Professional certification preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist Developmentally Disabled Adults, with daily living activities to include personal care and/or companion sitter tasks at the person's home or a residential facility.
Observes and monitor individuals behavior and charts observations and incidents. Assist with meal preparation, providing transportation, and/or limited case management.
Qualifications and Skills
One year experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human service setting OR an Associate degree in a related field OR one year experience at the lower level or position equivalent.
