This position is the Support Assistant to the Human Resource Department and works directly under the Human Resources Director. Under general supervision the clerk performs a variety of clerical duties. The clerk used independent judgment and initiative to perform a variety of clerical duties. The clerk performs technical and clerical duties to include data entry, report preparation, electronic and paper document filing and regularly accessing files and records.
Filing is an organizational task, so a file clerk needs good organizational skills. A file clerk must keep electronic and paper document files structured so that anyone can find needed files quickly. This requires the ability to spell, alphabetize and stay on top of the workload. A file worker, while under the supervisor of HR Team, typically works alone and must be able to manage time realistically. The file clerks must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks on time. A file clerk must be able to communicate effectively, take and understand direction by supervisors, and interact intelligently with other employees.
