Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in both academic and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and adaptive learning environment
• Foster relationships with students, encouraging their independence and self-confidence

Qualifications:
Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Experience with special needs students or a strong desire to work with them
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, as these are critical for providing consistent support to students
• NJ DOE Criminal History background check approval and Tuberculin testing

Preferred:

• Completion of two years of higher education or an associate’s degree
• Completion of the ParaPro Assessment
• NJDOE Substitute or Teacher’s Certificate
