Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in both academic and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive and adaptive learning environment
- Foster relationships with students, encouraging their independence and self-confidence
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Experience with special needs students or a strong desire to work with them
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, as these are critical for providing consistent support to students
- NJ DOE Criminal History background check approval and Tuberculin testing
Preferred:
- Completion of two years of higher education or an associate’s degree
- Completion of the ParaPro Assessment
- NJDOE Substitute or Teacher’s Certificate
