Training Supervisor
Classification Title: Project Coordinator Administrative, E22
Location: 14 S. Ft. Harrison Ave., Clearwater, FL 33756
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Performs professional project administrative and leader work by creating, implementing, and managing a hands on, instructional, and demonstration training program that coordinates with the expectations of policies, procedures, customer information system, and utilities customer portal to support major utilities department, integration of new systems and software, or other related projects and programs; w ork and coordinate efforts with other sections to lead training requirements for staff to test, validate their knowledge, and skills progress to learn the material and put into practice; coordinate and monitor training assignments to ensure requirements are met and assignments are completed on time/schedule; plan and implement a training project that integrates with the operations/system related to activities and processes for the Business & Customer Services Division and other Utilities Divisions; define training requirements and operating plans taking a lead role in administrative and implementation support to senior staff; develop and establish best practices for other sections and departments to create training process improvements; supervise employees regularly or intermittent basis; monitor progress on subject matter assignments, training projects, and operations with established requirements and schedules; provide leadership with p erformance metrics and tracking of team progress in learning the material and putting into practice.

Essential Job Functions
- Plans and implements training projects/programs and reports on the finances, budget, resources, and integration necessary for staff to learn the organization’s operations/systems to accomplish assigned missions that may also involve responsibility for highly technical matters;
- Integrates administrative improvements by supporting operations, finance, budget, and other processes;
- Defines training requirements and operating plans taking a lead role in administrative support to senior management;
- Researches and gathers required data to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope of projects and specifications for training purposes;
- Coordinates and manages training assignments and projects as assigned including the planning and operations phases that may include design, development, testing, implementation, and production;
- Estimates time frames, quality, identifies sources, and quantity of resources required to successfully implement training assignments, projects, and activities;
- Oversees training projects and creates reports for upper management;
- Ensures training expectations progress on schedule and addresses any delays resolving problems in a timely manner;
- Evaluates and inspects staff progress on assigned subject matter area of responsibility, monitors progress, and reports to senior management;
- Analyzes results, monitors progress, evaluates changes, and negotiates change management implementation;
- Develops and establishes appropriate communications and manages a proactive approach to information dissemination to all levels of County employees;
- Leads or participates in cross functional training project teams;
- Monitors and evaluates the planning activities and status of a training implementation to ensure that the department is following the direction established during strategic planning;
- May supervise employees on a regular or intermittent basis;
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Position Specific Requirements
- Eight (8) years of technical and professional level experience in the assigned subject matter area of responsibility that includes one (1) year of supervision or supervisory training; or
- A Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, finance, public administration, planning, information technology, or a related field and four (4) years of experience as described above; or
- A Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience as described above; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Certification in assigned subject matter area of responsibility and/or project management.
- Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
- Other highly desirable knowledge, skills, abilities, and credentials relevant to a position.

Physical/Mental Demands
The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
