What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA/Home Health Aide FT Evenings position at Pines Village Retirement Communities Inc?
The Home Health Aide functions as a caregiver in providing assistance with the activities of daily living for geriatric residents. The duties of the Home Health Aide are planned and assigned by the Registered Nurse to meet the individualized needs of the resident. The Home Health Aide is an unlicensed paraprofessional registered with the State of Indiana and reports directly to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with general supervision of the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or actively pursuing their diploma or GED.
- Must provide documentation of one of the following:Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Registered in the State of Indiana, in good standing, as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
- Registered in the State of Indiana, in good standing, as a Home Health Aide.
- Successful completion of 75 hours of training as a Home Health Aide as required in state and federal regulations, successful completion of the Home Health Aide Competency and Skills testing, and eligible for state registration.
- Currently enrolled nursing student who has completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course with a grade of “C” or above.
- Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Driver in the State of Indiana.
- Experience in home health care preferred.
