The Piney Woods School is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Farmer to join our team. As a General Farmer, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our farm and contributing to the overall success of our agricultural programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with daily farm activities, including but not limited to planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
2. Care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and maintaining their health and well-being.
3. Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of farm facilities and equipment.
5. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
6. Collaborate with farm supervisors and team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
7. Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the farm and agricultural programs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on a farm or agricultural setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Basic knowledge of farm equipment and machinery is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
