OVERALL PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly talented Compliance Analyst who will focus on ensuring adherence to financial regulations and compliance frameworks within the payment space. This role involves monitoring, identifying, and mitigating regulatory risks while supporting the organization’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance. The Compliance Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate policies, ensure anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) adherence, and contribute to a robust compliance program that meets both domestic and international regulatory requirements.
PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Report to the Head of US Compliance and support the North America AML/CFT program in all aspects.
- Develop, execute, and update compliance procedures and controls.
- Conduct onboarding review and approval on customers, business partners, and transactions in
accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Support the application and maintenance of all business and state money transmitter licenses.
- Receive, process and support the responding to inquiries from federal and state regulators, law enforcement, court and law firms.
- Assist with AML/CFT testing, internal and external audits, and regulatory exams.
- Interacting with internal teams to develop and implement adequate controls to new business
initiatives and products.
- Support any special projects or tasks.
DESIRED TRAITS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) are a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or AML/CFT in the financial services or payment industry.
- Solid understanding of AML/CFT regulations, including BSA, OFAC, and state money transmitter licensing requirements.
- Experience with regulatory inquiries, audits, and exams, including responding to federal and state agencies.
- Strong knowledge of customer onboarding processes and due diligence frameworks (KYC/KYB).
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Salary : $87,000 - $92,000
