The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth and is tasked with building strong relationships with both on and off-premise accounts. The ideal candidate is passionate about the spirits industry, possesses excellent communication skills, and is committed to surpassing expectations with account partners.

Responsibilities

Priority Account Management & Activation

  • Expand distribution of our brand into high-potential new on and off-premise accounts.
  • Regularly engage with high-priority accounts in and around the market to establish Pinhook as a trusted partner.
  • Develop targeted account lists with assistance from the Pinhook team, distributors, and personal networks.
  • Educate account staff on the Pinhook brand story and its unique attributes.
  • Create, source, and activate brand events (where allowable by law) to boost awareness and customer engagement closely with the marketing team.
  • Implement strategies aimed at increasing case volumes in the specified market.
  • Oversee the distribution of point-of-sale materials within the market.
  • Ensure product merchandising aligns with brand standards.

Distributor Engagement, Market Awareness, & Administration

  • Cultivate strong relationships with distributor representatives and managers to uncover sales opportunities and achieve results.
  • Support the development and execution of distributor programming.
  • Analyze data to assess distributor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with distributors to meet annual targets and objectives.
  • Utilize opportunities to educate distributor sales teams through participating or by inviting Pinhook resources.
  • Take part in quarterly business review meetings.
  • Identify market trends and communicate insights to the Pinhook team.
  • Gather feedback from accounts and partners to refine product offerings, education, and marketing approaches.
  • Maintain compliance with market budgets and track their usage effectively.
  • Document all account interactions in ViP Karma, adhering to Pinhook standards.
  • Qualifications

  • An entrepreneurial mindset driven by passion, ambition, and keen attention to detail for achieving commercial success.
  • A results-oriented approach with the ability to convert market investments into positive business outcomes.
  • Impressive interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, motivating and inspiring collaboration within a team environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting product and brand narratives.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role within the alcohol beverage industry.
