During nap times, she would sew garments made of a multitude of patterns from bright block prints to 60’s florals. The spirit of sunny beach days and her love for vintage textiles came together to create easy and stylish pieces for the beach or dinner, for herself and her daughters.

Position Summary:

Pink Chicken is looking for an experienced creative Social Media & Events Associate/ Manager to join our growing team in New York City. This team member must have a passion for story telling and bringing a brand’s vision to life through social media. At the heart of Pink Chicken is our community, so connecting with and engaging with them is top priority. Other major marketing responsibilities will be to lead our planning and execution of retail events, assist with any brand events, develop new and maintain current influencer relationships and work closely with our outside PR team to ensure they have all necessary assets/brand information and executing all VIP gifting. This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing.


Responsibilities:


Social Media

  • Daily management of all social media platforms and tools— creating fun and innovative material, posting, re-posting, scheduling, engagement, and jumping on social trends and topics (primarily Instagram, Pinterest and exploring TikTok)
  • Create, manage and maintain a social media calendar that aligns with the brand’s marketing calendar. Develop new ways to connect with and support our community. Make sure all platforms are up to date with current imagery and assets.
  • Respond to all social media comments and direct messages within a couple hours and in an on brand manner. Consistently commenting on outbound posts from community members or on brand influencers.
  • Be always up to date with the current trends, best practices, and innovation in social media, and figure out ways to implement those that align with the brand
  • Form new and maintain existing relationships with influencers and tastemakers
  • Frequent visits to our retail stores to get content and create compelling posts/reels from these visits.
  • Analyze monthly social media reporting to understand what our community is responding to, and what they are not, and coming up with suggestions to improve based on these findings
  • Support Director of Marketing and Sr Marketing Consultant with consistent research and outreach for brand partnerships, collaborations and giveaways


Events & Store Support

  • Create and maintain retail events calendar, as well as track associated expenses
  • Work with our Store Managers to enhance our in store engagement with on brand monthly retail events across all stores
  • Research, select and work with vendors, suppliers, catering, partner brands, etc to facilitate events, ensure timelines and deliverables are met, and within budget
  • Attend photoshoots and brand events to capture behind the scenes content as well as capture casual content around the office for social channels
  • Work closely with our outside PR team to ensure they have all necessary assets/brand information and executing all VIP gifting


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience managing a brand’s social media account (internships count)
  • Deep understanding and love for the social media landscape; both short and long-term trends
  • Intimate knowledge of platforms, tools, social creators, and content best practices
  • Strong communication, multitasking and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret social data
  • Strong social copy-writing, and excellent attention to detail
  • A dedicated team player with a fun and outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to Travel up to 10-15%


Compensation:

At Pink Chicken, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits. Compensation packages and titles are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.


The annual total cash compensation range is $65,000 to $78,000. However, actual pay can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location.
