Profile of the 504 Assistant
The 504 Assistant is a key member of the 504 Team and Student Support Center, responsible for managing the daily operations of the Student Support Center. The 504 Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring students' success with 504 plans by regularly monitoring their progress and collaborating with school counselors and service providers to facilitate educational advancement. Additionally, the 504 Assistant provides guidance to students in completing their schoolwork on time, assists in developing effective study skills, and encourages the utilization of available school resources to enhance academic achievement.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Student Support Room, including managing student check-in and check-out procedures and ensuring the efficient functioning of the room.
- Monitor students’ attendance in the Student Support Room to minimize unnecessary time out of class.
- Consult regularly with each student’s school counselor, the 504 Coordinator, and the 504 Facilitator.
- Coordinate test-taking accommodations with classroom teachers.
- Supervise and ensure the integrity of test and quiz administration.
- Assist students in structuring and managing their academic workload effectively.
- Support students in developing effective study skills and utilizing available school resources.
- Provide general support to the 504 Facilitator and 504 Coordinator, including but not limited to maintaining records of contact and activities for students on the caseload via individual logs, maintaining data, and gathering statistical information and reports when requested.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the School Counseling Director and 504 Coordinator
