Job Overview
As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support to individuals in various healthcare settings such as nursing homes, medical offices, and home care environments.
Duties
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Take and record vital signs accurately
Help with medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff
Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms
Assist in the transfer and transportation of patients
Document patient information and medical records using electronic systems like eClinicalWorks
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications
Previous experience in long-term care, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical office procedures
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Ability to perform tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal care
Strong communication skills and empathy towards patients in senior care or home community care settings
