GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manages a portfolio of trust accounts. Responsible for prospecting new customers and cross-selling other banking services. Some travel required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Prospects new customers and solicits new trust. Cross-sells other banking services to new and existing customers. Maintains on-going customer contact to ensure good customer relations. Interacts by telephone and in person.
- Performs on-going management of a large portfolio of trust account relationships. Includes account reviews, problem solving, research and follow-up.
- Participate in preparation of department budget, goals and objectives and strategic planning.
- Participate in civic and community organizations, representing the bank, but following personal interests.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of trust accounts, laws, and regulations.
- Knowledge of bank products and services.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing practices and principles.
- Skill in pricing accounts.
- Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in courteous and professional manner.
- Skill in problem solving.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work within strict time constraints and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- College degree preferred. Previous trust experience preferred.
