Summary

The Finance and Operations Analyst will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, performance tracking, and operational optimization, coordinating between site and corporate level staff. This role requires a unique blend of financial acumen and operational understanding to drive business performance and strategic growth.

Duties And Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be self-starters, with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

Financial Analysis

  • Prepare financial reports, including periodic statements of site financial performance.
  • Coordinate site activities with corporate finance department.
  • Support management of site budgeting and performance reporting.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making.

Operational Analysis

  • Analyze operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and track operational dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes.

Data Management And Reporting

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data in clinical trial management system.
  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Utilize Clinical Trial Management, Excel, and business intelligence tools.
  • Maintain and improve data collection and reporting systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, operations, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Experience in clinical research industry.

Working Conditions

  • Contract position.
  • Office-based.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent presenting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial processes, terminology, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly detail-oriented and data-driven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving industry trends.

  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including medical equipment with a maximum lift of 20-50 lbs.
