What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dietitian position at Pinnacle Dietary Global?
Job Duties:
- Coordinate nutritional care of residents and patients by completing nutritional assessments.
- Participate in care planning meetings as required.
- Provide nutritional counseling and education for residents and family.
- Completes comprehensive assessments on patients as required.
- Provides dietary in-service training as required.
- Under PDPM, identify, document, and treat nutrition related diseases for improved outcomes.
- Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards.
- Perform duties independently without training or direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good decision making and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
- High comfort level with enteral nutrition, wounds, weight management, Hemodialysis.
- Comfortable working in a healthcare facility.
- Familiarity with state survey process and compliance with nutrition care regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, health, or related field.
- Must possess Registered Dietitian licensure within the state of operations
- At least one year of experience in a long-term care setting
- Experience with MDS 3.0.
- Experience with electronic charting such as Point Click Care is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
