Pinnacle Foot & Ankle Clinics is seeking a new Intake Coordinator for our Edina clinic. This role is ideal for someone who has some experience working in the clinical patient care setting, someone who takes pride in providing quality care to patients. This job is ideal for the candidate who easily works well with others as a team member. We are a small growing practice looking to add another team member to an already great group of people!
Position Summary: Answers phones, assists with patient care for intakes, verifies insurance eligibility and benefits, provides administrative support. Reports to Clinical Manager, providers, and practice owner of a small podiatry practice (offices in Edina, Burnsville).
Essential Functions: To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
1. Attends work when scheduled in a regular, consistent and punctual manner.
2. Assists with indirect patient care procedures and related tasks, including but not limited to:
a. Answering phone calls
b. Registering new patients
c. Updating demographics
d. Assisting in obtaining patient histories
e. Preparing charts
f. Verifying insurance eligibility and coverage.
3. Responds to patient messages through our online portal.
4. Schedules, cancels, and rebooks appointments for all providers.
5. Pulls/scans charts for the day's appointments, processes referrals daily, calls missed appointments to reschedule.
6. Works with our billing department directly to process information they may need.
8. Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
9.. Adheres to HIPAA protocols.
11. Collaborates with team member to achieve desired results as needed.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year experience direct patient care in clinical setting preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
Work Environment:
- Environmentally controlled medical office environment
- Fast-paced environment with occasional high-pressure situations
- Work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Mon - Friday
- Possible exposure to infectious specimens, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to medical office environment
- Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, insurance companies and other members of the public
