The Pinnacle Golf Club at Cedar Creek Lake is a vibrant, well established gated golf community on the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. The Club offers an 18-hole championship golf course and clubhouse, tennis, pickleball, pool and playground. The community is currently comprised of nearly 400 homes, with room to grow!

HOA General Manager Mission Statement :

Implement management practices that ensure the HC Pinnacle Club HOA community will continue to be a great place to live, work and play. Enhance the value of the member experience by providing services and amenities in a financially responsible manner that exceed member expectations and by providing a work environment that is respectful and rewarding to all employees .

Job Title : HC Pinnacle Club HOA General Manager

Reports to : Pinnacle Club HOA Board

The General Manager (GM) is a performance driven leader and mentor to all onsite employees and associates. The GM serves as the chief operating executive of the HOA, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, financial health, and overall success of the HOA community.

The role includes indirect responsibility through collaboration with the Pinnacle Golf Club LLC golf course and Private Club management, ensuring they align with the community’s strategic goals to achieve the financial results and meet the expectations of residents and members as directed by the HOA Board. This collaboration takes place through proper channels and requires interpersonal skills to influence direction without direct operational control.

This position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to effectively coordinate with HOA Property Owners, HOA board members, HOA employees, Pinnacle Club LLC Management Committee and employees, contractors, and operational partners managing the golf course and restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

Community and HOA Management

  • Implement HOA board policies, directives, and strategies.
  • Manage Outside HOA management Company to insure performance according to the Management agreement. Monitor activities, make recommended improvements and hold accountable to performance standards
  • Collaborate with the HOA Board and Long-Range Planning Committee on the development of long-term plans in line with HOA Board strategic plans and initiatives. Monitor plans for relevance on a periodic basis and revise as strategic direction changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all governing documents, local regulations, and laws.

Operations Management

  • Responsibility for managing and directing HOA Operations Manager
  • Oversee through the Operations Manager, all community operations, including adherence to Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CCR’s), information system management, building permits, facility and grounds maintenance, landscaping, security, and amenities.
  • Ensure that all preventive maintenance procedures and policies are adhered to.
  • Ensure adherence to all bid process guidelines
  • Establish and maintain building emergency and safety guidelines
  • Ensure clear communication of expectations to all employees, contractors and associates including the establishment of clear performance measurement processes.
  • Other activities and responsibilities as requested by the HOA Board and as needed by the community
  • Communication and Meeting Planning

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the HOA Board, employees, residents, and vendors. Communicate all necessary Board meeting agendas, initiatives, votes and minutes as required in CCR’s.
  • Manage Board member communications, assuring all members are aware of issues, concerns, projects and relevant matters, as they arise.
  • Develop Communication Plans and Internal Marketing initiatives to ensure the community is informed about HOA activities and to advance initiatives as directed by the Board.
  • Coordinate and communicate all Board and HOA community meetings
  • Coordinate all materials required for Board meetings
  • Provide periodic updates to the community on HOA plans, initiatives and programs as approved by the Board
  • Financial Oversight :

  • Work with the HOA outside Management Company to Develop and manage the annual HOA budget guided by HOA Board strategic direction. Monitor performance vs budget on a regular basis and adjust as necessary to achieve the Board strategic direction. Ensure no budget Overages that exceed 10% of Member approved budget
  • Collaborate with the HOA Board on Cash Management including invested accounts.
  • Approve expenditures, monitor cash flow, and present financial reports to the board monthly. Insure adherence to standard accounting practices and financial integrity in all activities
  • Collaborate with the golf course and restaurant operators to review financial performance and ensure adherence to budgetary expectations.
  • Monitor the collection of assessments, dues, and fees, and ensure financial transparency. Make recommendations on assessment policies, plans and fees. Monitor delinquency issues and coordinate with Management Company on the status of collection activities including legal actions and resolution objectives.
  • Assist the board with annual insurance quotes, comparisons and selection of appropriate carriers.
  • Indirect Oversight of Pinnacle Golf Course and Country Club Restaurant :

  • Act as the HOA’s representative to ensure the golf course and restaurant align with community expectations and contractual obligations. Coordinate and communicate HOA Board expectations as necessary.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the operators / managers of the golf course and restaurant to monitor performance, address concerns, and provide support as needed.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and capital improvement needs as directed by the HOA Board
  • Facilitate collaboration between the HOA and the operators to create events, programs, and initiatives that benefit residents and members.
  • Address resident feedback and ensure quality service delivery in alignment with the HOA’s mission.
  • Team Leadership and Vendor Management :

  • Hire, supervise, and develop HOA staff and contractors to achieve community goals.
  • Manage contracts with service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective services.
  • Promote a collaborative and positive work environment among HOA staff and external partners.
  • Resident Engagement :

  • Foster strong relationships with residents by providing exceptional customer service and timely communication.
  • Host or facilitate community meetings, events, and initiatives to engage residents and gather feedback.
  • Address resident complaints and mediate disputes in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Reporting and Communication :

  • Provide regular updates to the HOA board on operations, financial performance, and projects.
  • Coordinate reports on the golf course and restaurant performance based on operational feedback.
  • Communicate important HOA updates to residents via newsletters, emails, and other communication channels.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven team player with experience in a strategic management position (preferably HOA or city) in community property management, or community association leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of various management systems and tools including outlook, excel, word, power point or comparable software. Quick books and forecasting expertise a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work with residents, board members, and external partners. Including conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of golf course and hospitality operations is a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate management, or a related field.
  • Certification in HOA management (e.g., CMCA, AMS, or PCAM).
  • Familiarity with country club management or similar environments.
  • This position combines strategic leadership with operational management, ensuring the HOA’s community amenities enhance the lifestyle and satisfaction of its residents while maintaining financial sustainability.
