Client:
Our client is a multi-family office based in New York City that manages around $15b, investing across a broad range of asset classes, including public equity, private equity, and hedge funds.
Opportunity:
The Investment Associate will be part of a lean investment team managing assets on behalf of long-term-minded U.S.-based families. Reporting to a senior-level Investment Managing Director, the Investment Associate will gain exposure to various asset classes and geographies while playing a key role in portfolio monitoring and investment analysis.
The Investment Associate will take ownership of portfolio analytics, conducting rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis on existing and prospective managers and asset classes. Additionally, the Associate will contribute to process improvements, refining reporting and monitoring tools to enhance investment decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting due diligence on new and existing managers across asset classes
- Analyzing portfolio performance, exposures, and liquidity, and clearly communicating key conclusions to the team
- Building, refining, and maintaining analytical infrastructure to track key portfolio and manage data efficiently
- Utilizing research tools to enhance analysis of new investment strategies and opportunities
- Attending meetings and calls with current and prospective investment managers
- Assisting in the preparation of reports for the Investment Committee and client families
- Contributing to special projects as needed

Over time, the Investment Associate may have the potential for promotion to an Associate Investment Director role, based on investment acumen, business judgment, and ability to gain the trust of senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in investment management, endowments/foundations, OCIO, fund of funds, or investment advisory (experience in alternative investments such as private equity, hedge funds, or long-only equity is ideal)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and database software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and teamwork-oriented mindset
