RN Manager

A Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor oversees and manages a team of nurses within a healthcare facility, ensuring quality patient care by directing daily operations, assigning tasks, monitoring staff performance, resolving issues, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities of an RN Supervisor:

Staff Management:

• Assign nursing tasks to staff based on patient needs and skill levels

• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, including coaching and development opportunities.

• Conduct staff evaluations and address performance concerns.

• Create and manage staff schedules.

• Participate in hiring and onboarding new nurses.

Patient Care Oversight:

• Regularly assess patient conditions and review medical records to ensure quality

• care.

• Monitor medication administration and treatment plans

• Respond to patient emergencies and coordinate necessary interventions

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated

• patient care

Clinical Quality Assurance:

• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives related to nursing practice

• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies

• Conduct incident reports and investigate patient safety concerns

Administrative Duties:

• Utilize various computer programs to prepare and submit required reports and

• Manage unit budget and resource allocation

Requirements:
