Unit Coordinator/Transportation Assistant
The Unit Coordinator/Transportation Assistant must have a valid Maine driver’s license and a good driving record. A safety training program in transporting residents and use of the wheelchair lift will be successfully completed after hire. Personal Support Specialist (PSS) training will be provided unless the applicant is a current C.N.A.
Preference will be given to candidates with six months’ experience working in a nursing home, residential care facility, or other health care facility but is not required.
The Unit Coordinator/Transportation Assistant provides transportation for residents going to medical appointments. The Unit Coordinator/Transportation Assistant will assist with answering the telephone and forwarding calls as appropriate, scan, copy and fax, and assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
Applicant must have the ability to read, write, and follow directions accurately, recognize and respond to the needs of residents. They must have the ability to make prompt and accurate judgements with regard to resident care and driving.
Candidate must be capable of lifting a minimum of 40 lbs.
Hours: Monday-Friday, occasional weekend shift
This is a full-time position.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
