Pinnacle Health & Rehab at North Berwick is seeking an experienced Cook / Dietary Aide to work full-time hours (Shift : 11 : 00 a.m. - 7 : 00 p.m.). Essential Cook Job Duties :
1. Regular, punctual attendance.
2. Prepare food, following the menu outlined by the Foodservice Director.
3. Serve meals, snacks and dietary supplements, meeting specified mealtime deadlines.
4. Replenish stock in front stockroom and walk-ins, with the assistance of the Dietary Aides.
5. Maintain a clean, organized work area, following the established dietary cleaning schedule, with the assistance of the Dietary Aides.
6. Properly dispose of kitchen trash as necessary, and at the end of each shift.
7. Closely follow all established procedures related to equipment use, safety, sanitation, infection control, and hazardous materials such as kitchen cleaning supplies and returned portions.
8. Supervise Diet Aides to ensure adherence to cleaning schedules and that job duties are completed to satisfaction.
9. Assist in the training of dietary personnel as requested.
10. Attend mandatory facility in-services and annual orientation.
Essential Diet Aide Job Duties :
1. Regular, punctual attendance.
2. Preparation for snack and meal service : bag silverware and sliced bread, mix and pour beverages and supplements, prepare snacks.
3. Load snack, meal and beverage / condiment carts. Transport carts to and from eating areas.
4. Set up and assist cooks with tray line. Ensure attention to details when reading diet cards to cook during tray line.
5. Wash and put away dishes, pots and pans, and clean and close up dish room at the end of the evening shift.
6. Rotate and put away stock as delivered.
7. Stock dietary front stockroom and residents’ Country Kitchens.
8. Clean as assigned : walk-ins, refrigerators, dish machine and other kitchen equipment, walls and shelves, defrost and clean freezers, sweep and wash floors in kitchen, stockrooms and dish room.
9. Attend mandatory in-services and annual orientation.
10. Perform other duties as necessary.
