We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The Sterilization Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to strict health and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization procedures on surgical instruments and medical equipment using appropriate methods and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during the handling of sterile items.
- Manage inventory of sterilized supplies, including tracking usage and restocking as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand specific sterilization needs for various procedures.
- Document sterilization processes accurately, maintaining records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterile processing and participate in ongoing training as required.
Requirements
