About the Position
As a Mechanical Engineer (PE), you will be responsible for leading the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for various building types. You will work closely with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and BIM specialists to develop high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Responsibilities include…
- Mechanical System Design: Develop and oversee the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for a variety of building types, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Project Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including global engineering and BIM teams, to develop integrated design solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure designs meet ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, NFPA, and other relevant codes, standards, and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design principles into mechanical system solutions.
- QA/QC & Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews, perform quality control checks, and provide guidance to junior engineers and modelers.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide design recommendations, and support construction activities.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to US and India based Productions teams to ensure accurate and constructible 3D models, clash detection, and seamless integration of mechanical systems within the overall design.
- Business Development Augmentation: Support Business Developmentefforts through various activities including representing Pinnacle at industry events, client site visits, participating in media content, networking with target clients within your discipline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one US state.
- Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Experience researching and applying U.S. building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy efficiency guidelines.
- Experience with data centers, hospitals, or other complex facilities is a plus.
