Assistant Childcare Director - Pinnacle Pointe Day Care Academy
Location: Union City, Georgia Salary: $16 - $18 per hour: Minimum of 40 hours per week, with some weekend availability required
Overview: Pinnacle Pointe Day Care Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Childcare Director to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations and management of our childcare center, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster a positive and supportive environment for both staff and children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the overall management and administration of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Direct supervision and management of 10-15 employees, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee the implementation of the Procare management software to streamline administrative tasks and enhance parent communication.
- Manage the Georgia Nutrition Program, ensuring that all children receive balanced and nutritious meals in accordance with state guidelines.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions to ensure all team members are up to date with the latest early childhood education practices and safety protocols.
- Maintain the facility’s environment to ensure it is safe, clean, and conducive to learning and development.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement educational programs and activities that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Engage with parents and guardians to foster strong home-center relationships and address any concerns or queries.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare setting, previously as either as a Director or Assistant Director.
- Must pass a comprehensive federal and state background check.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of early childhood education regulations and standards.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for early childhood education.
Desirable Qualities:
- Certification in early childhood education or related field.
- Experience with Procare software and familiarity with the Georgia Nutrition Program.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- A positive and nurturing demeanor, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
