Pinnacle Pointe Outpatient is currently seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about a career in a high-demand, high-reward area of healthcare for our clients. Applicants should possess expertise in consultation with individuals who need emotional, psychological, and behavioral support, including medication administration. Individual therapists will work collaboratively with the nurse to provide comprehensive approaches to patients' needs.
The Pinnacle Pointe Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides advanced practice nursing support for patients in our psychiatric outpatient program through working with the treatment team and identifying patient treatment needs, medication assessments and adjustments, and utilization review support as needed.

Three (3) years previous experience in psychiatric/medical social work is required.- Substance abuse and/or addiction experience preferred.
- Must have prior experience working with children.
- ANCC/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified.
- Active Arkansas APRN.
- Requires minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with professionals and clients/families.
- Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations or with unpredictable or violent clients.
- Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment.
- Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Arkansas laws governing services to children, adolescent and adults preferred.
- A basic knowledge of educational, psychological and social service systems as related to special education and behavior treatment preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in providing services to assigned patients.
- Seeks and incorporates input from Program Physician, Clinic Director, and CEO, as well as other treatment providers, to identify intensity of services to be provided.
- Participates in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Gathers necessary information from patients, so that an effective and appropriate nursing care plan will be implemented.
- Monitors medication management including prescribing
- Dictates patient information in a timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources.
