Summary/Objective
The Graveyard support staff plays a vital role in the programming running smoothly.
Essential Functions

- Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
- Document information regarding patient care and behavior as required in policy and procedure.
- Transport patients in company vehicles to activities/appointments while maintaining safety protocols.
- Run errands related to patient care and unit needs.
- Supervise patients in special care areas as assigned.
- Participate in maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe environment; report needs for repairs and maintenance to the House Manager.
- Obtain the patient's vital signs, height and weight as assigned and documented in the patient's record.
- Assist nursing staff in responding to emergency situations.
- Work under the direction of the House Manager to ensure all shift duties are completed and address training needs.
- Conduct and assist with selected activity groups as assigned and document according to policy and procedures.
- Attend and participate in IPS in-services and staff meetings. Must be excused from mandatory in-services and meetings by the Director of 24-Hour Services.
- Assist with assessments as assigned.
- Monitor and document nutritional intake.
- Organize, and prepare the weekend scheduling/activities.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established IPS policy, procedures and standards of care.
- Performs other duties as assigned and/or as needed.
- Assist with Intakes and discharges as needed.
- Supervise UA’s and document results in patient files.
Competencies
- Good communication and problem resolution skills
- Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships, basic behavior management.
- Basic knowledge of human behavior or general mental health concepts, independent living skills (personal grooming, basic nutrition, and general health needs).
Supervisory Responsibility
- Assist the House Manager in direction of the patient care staff.
Work Environment
This job will require exposure to patient elements. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
