Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst :
- Account Reconciliation : Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support : Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing detailed insights to department heads.
- Cost Allocation & Revenue Cycle Support : Analyze and allocate costs related to patient services, support the revenue cycle team in identifying areas for improvement, and assist with reimbursement reporting.
- Audit Preparation : Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing responses to audit inquiries.
- Financial Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function, focusing on efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as Medicare and Medicaid reporting, and assist in maintaining financial integrity and transparency.
- Data Management & Reporting Systems : Utilize ERP and financial reporting systems to analyze financial data, ensuring system accuracy and assisting with software implementations or upgrades as needed.
