What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Account Manager position at Pinnacle Search Partners?
Pinnacle Search Partners is working with a global prime and generic resin distributor to identify a Regional Account Manager for the Carolinas. This person will inherit a small book of business upon which they can build this territory. Strong business development and prospecting experience will be required for this role as opposed to solely managing existing customer accounts. This is a privately held company that values the autonomy of their team! We're working with the Director of Sales to fill this role who brings years of experience in the industry and enjoys traveling with the sales team. You've got great brand recognition, territory autonomy, and resources available to help you along the way. Here are some key things we're looking for in this role:
Duties:
-Identify prospective clients and work collaboratively with the finance department to identify viable accounts to chase
-Monitor your activity and goals to be reviewed monthly with Director of Sales
-Cross-collaborate with Customer Service and Sales Support team to ensure client needs are addressed promptly
-Travel in-person to clients to visit with them on-site at their businesses to build relationships and increase margins
-Collaborate with R&D and Product Teams to provide market details related to price, competitive advantages, packaging and volume, grade numbers, etc.
-Serve as a subject matter expert on company products
Experience Required:
-At least three years of sales experience within a resins distribution company - ability to speak the language of polymers. Commodity resins translates perfectly - EPP sales experience is an option as well
-Demonstrated ability to grow volume of sales and margin in your territory
-Strong process knowledge (rotomolding, blow molding, thermoforming, etc.)
-Experience prospecting from scratch and hunting for new clients
Compensation: This base plus commission role provides commission on 100% of what you sell. They also supply a car allowance for this role.
