Job Summary :
Our Underground Utility Superintendent plays an essential role in the success of our company by effectively managing our installation crew. You will maintain the construction scheduling and ensure that all team members are on task, productive, and adhering to all safety regulations. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple jobs in locations all over Florida, reporting on how the jobs are going, and touching base weekly with management.
Job Responsibilities :
- Overseeing the process and installation of underground utilities
- Supervising and guiding utility crews (typically crews of 20-30 individuals)
- Scheduling and leading preconstruction meetings with municipalities
- Ensuring that all proper equipment is on the job
- Managing, maintaining, and procuring materials and supply inventory for underground systems; ensuring that materials are onsite before crew(s) arrive
- Selecting and scheduling subcontractors as needed
- Preparing comprehensive progress and work reports along with time and cost reports as required
- Organizing and directing all emergency preparation, operation, and demobilization efforts related to underground utilities
- Reviewing utility maps for accuracy and reviewing plans for utility improvement projects for accuracy of existing utilities
- Other duties may be assigned
