Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler with expertise in Erwin for a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, including the creation of logical and physical models, and an in-depth understanding of star schema designs.
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of data modeling experience in enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in creating and maintaining logical and physical data models using industry best practices.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency with Erwin Data Modeling Tool for developing and managing data models.
- Strong knowledge of star schema design for data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience in relational and dimensional modeling concepts.
- Ability to optimize models for performance and scalability.
- Database Knowledge:
- Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience with writing and understanding SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
- Data Integration & Governance:
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and how they interact with data models.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of financial or insurance domain data.
- Understanding of cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
