Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning. This role will require you to work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging data to drive business decisions and strategies. You will be tasked with handling large datasets, developing models, and visualizing insights to inform stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Apply statistical analysis and machine learning models to solve business problems.
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to improve operational efficiency and predict key business metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to define and meet business goals.
- Visualize data using appropriate data visualization tools and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimize SQL queries in Snowflake to extract and manipulate data for analysis.
- Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and contribute to the end-to-end data pipeline.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data science, machine learning, and data visualization.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).
- Strong proficiency in SQL (experience with Snowflake preferred).
- Deep understanding of data analytics and statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, etc.).
- Proven experience or education in machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning).
- Experience in data visualization, with expertise in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong communication skills able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical team members.
- Ability to foster a culture of honesty, openness, and trust in collaborative team environments.
- Knowledge of capital markets or experience working with financial data is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Python or R for machine learning and data manipulation.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
