Job Title: Sr. / Lead Data Quality Engineer
Location: Santa Monica, CA or Seattle, WA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite) Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire (W2)
Posting Mode: Full-Time / Direct Hire / Onsite Hybrid
Relocation & Location Requirements:
- Candidates must be local to Santa Monica, CA or Seattle, WA, or have prior work history in these locations and be willing to relocate.
- Relocation benefit: $6,000 Kola
Interview Process:
- External interview via Risebird
- Tavant technical interview
- Two rounds of client interviews
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust Data Quality (DQ) checks and validation rules.
- Perform comprehensive data profiling to uncover anomalies and data trends.
- Monitor and validate Data Quality results, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Define and maintain thresholds for anomaly detection in KPIs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to:
- Translate business requirements into actionable DQ measures.
- Recommend process improvements to drive data accuracy and governance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of hands-on experience in:
- Data Quality and Data Profiling
- Advanced SQL for complex data querying
- Data Analysis and reporting
- Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation
- Snowflake for cloud data storage and processing
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Proven job stability with consistent tenure in previous roles
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Airflow for workflow orchestration
- Looker or equivalent BI tool for data visualization and dashboards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
