Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our team for a 3-month contract position, with the potential for contract-to-hire. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in product management, including 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position. Experience managing APIs for enterprise customers, SaaS integrations, and IoT/telematics platforms in the transportation industry is essential. This is an onsite role in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, with occasional travel (up to 15%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the product development lifecycle for IoT and telematics SaaS platforms within the transportation industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) to define product requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage APIs for enterprise customers and facilitate SaaS integrations to meet client needs.
- Oversee the entire API lifecycle, including versioning, API gateways, and developer portals (Apigee, AWS API Gateway).
- Drive product insights using analytics and work closely with stakeholders to develop a strategy for continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership in Agile methodologies, ensuring smooth development processes for both software and hardware solutions.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product goals, scope, and timelines.
- Actively support Scrum and SAFe development practices, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Travel occasionally (up to 15%) for business needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and MS Office for project and team management.
- Experience managing APIs for enterprise customers and SaaS integrations.
- Hands-on experience with the API development lifecycle, including versioning, best practices, and documentation tools (Swagger, Postman, OpenAPI).
- Practical experience with API gateways like Apigee or AWS API Gateway.
- Experience managing IoT and telematics SaaS platforms within the transportation industry.
- Over 5 years managing software project requirements and development using Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
- Analytics expertise to generate product insights and optimize solutions.
- Excellent program management skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
