We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Information Technology Manager to lead technology operations for a growing manufacturing facility. In this role, the selected candidate will support infrastructure needs while implementing innovative solutions. This hands-on role involves maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, managing IT projects, and ensuring seamless operation of a multi-server network environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Infrastructure Management :
Support and maintain hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance.
Administer a multi-server network environment, including Microsoft 365 / Windows, MS SQL, VMware vSphere / Microsoft Hyper-V, Cloud based and mainframe ERP, and multi-user applications.
Manage LAN / WAN and Cisco / HP networking systems and security. Oversee MS Exchange Server and virtualized network environments.
System Support and Troubleshooting :
Troubleshoot escalated hardware and software issues, including physical and virtual networks, peripheral equipment, and computer systems.
Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, servers, networks, and related hardware / software.
Respond to escalated IT requests and manage day-to-day technical operations.
Project Management :
Lead and manage IT-related projects, including the development and modification of in-house applications.
Develop strategies to enhance system performance, streamline workflows, and reduce downtime.
Collaboration and Vendor Relations :
Work tactfully and effectively with internal customers and external vendors to procure hardware and software solutions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams to assess and address technology needs.
Technical Expertise :
Stay updated on emerging IT trends and network technologies, providing recommendations to executive leadership.
Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards across systems.
Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems.
Partner with third-party system providers for new software and troubleshooting.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 7 years of experience planning, designing, and maintaining IT systems, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
3 years of experience leading small technical teams of 1-5.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Project management experience is preferred.
Soft Skills :
Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors and team members in an upbeat manner.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and team building skills.
