Work Schedule:
- 4/10 work schedule (Monday - Thursday)
- Swing shift starts between 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Training on 1st shift for approximately one month before transitioning to swing shift
Job Summary:
With moderate to limited supervision, the Production Assembler (Casting) performs set-ups, general assembly operations, and assists with other departmental tasks. This position is primarily assigned to the Casting department and involves handling various tools and machinery to complete casting and assembly processes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including soldering irons.
- Utilize resin/adhesive bonding and impregnation equipment, such as:
- Molding machines, ovens, slush pots, resin dispensers, vacuum potting systems
- Weight scales, resin mixers, hoists, degreasers, drill presses, viscometers, calipers, rulers
- Operate machine tools, including drill presses and bench grinders.
- Use test and measurement tools, such as calipers, multimeters, and gauges.
- Set up and adjust dimensions, weight proportions, temperatures, pressures, cure times, and resin hardness levels.
- Perform complex prepping, potting, and assembly processes requiring fine technical detail.
- Execute bonding, gluing, and other specialized processes as required by manufacturing outlines.
- Complete moderate paperwork requirements, including test reports, oven cards, resin mix records, batch tickets, routers, work orders, and stock orders.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Education & Qualifications:
- A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Skills & Experience:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
- Ability to work a variable schedule and additional hours as necessary.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
