Summary of Role:
The Recruiter/HR Generalist will support the Human Resources department in a hybrid capacity, assisting both the Lead Recruiter and HR Manager. This role will involve full-cycle recruiting for Light Industrial, Engineering, and Business Operations roles while also handling various HR generalist duties. The selected candidate will report directly to the Division HR Manager and will be a key member of Parker’s HR team.
Essential Functions:
Recruitment (50%)
- Review job details and prepare job postings in coordination with hiring managers.
- Develop recruitment strategies, including pre-screening questions and advertising approaches to attract a diverse talent pool.
- Source and recruit candidates through databases, social media, networking, and online platforms.
- Screen applicants and conduct phone or in-person interviews as needed.
- Utilize various recruiting and selection tools for candidate evaluation.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of talent for frequently filled and hard-to-fill positions.
- Train hiring managers on recruitment, selection processes, and interview techniques.
- Lead the Affirmative Action and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
HR Generalist (50%)
- Facilitate employee onboarding and support training & development initiatives.
- Provide assistance on HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation, and employee relations.
- Analyze HR data and metrics, including time-to-hire and employee turnover rates.
- Maintain and update job descriptions and organizational structures.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
- Support general HR functions as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field required.
- 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Master’s degree preferred with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Prior HR generalist experience with a solid understanding of HR principles.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Proficiency in sourcing strategies, including social media and networking techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in diversity hiring and affirmative action compliance.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate recruitment metrics and HR data.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
