Position Summary:
Under general guidance in a team environment, the Product Support Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of product support duties of moderate scope and complexity. The role involves assisting in the development and execution of procedures and processes in one or more of the following functions: raw stock handling, parts identification, shipping, receiving, stockroom management, and clean operations.
Responsibilities:
Raw Stock Handling:
- Receive and verify incoming raw stock against documentation for identification and quantity accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks and move raw materials to designated locations.
- Identify, code, and operate saws to cut stock to specified dimensions.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and report critical shortages or issues.
- Issue jobs per schedule and update shop floor, MRP, and other tracking systems.
Parts Identification:
- Identify parts using appropriate methods and equipment per traveler and/or blueprint specifications.
- Accurately mark and label parts for identification.
Shipping:
- Prepare parts and materials for safe shipment, ensuring proper documentation.
- Package items according to specifications, generate necessary labels, forms, and shipping records.
- Interpret shipping instructions from company documents or customer specifications.
- Prepare air bills, bills of lading, and sales order forms.
- Coordinate with carriers for dispatch, rate establishment, and shipment tracking.
Receiving:
- Receive shipments at the receiving dock and forward materials accordingly.
- Weigh or count incoming/outbound materials and update system records.
- Verify documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Stockroom Management:
- Receive, check, and identify parts by type or part number.
- Store stock in appropriate locations as directed.
- Pick and prepare parts to fulfill orders based on parts lists.
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Utilize computer systems to manage stock and execute Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) functions.
Clean Operations:
- Use various cleaning and degreasing methods to remove oil and contaminants from parts and equipment.
- Maintain cleaning solutions and ensure proper cleaning procedures.
- Apply oil to parts to prevent rust and corrosion.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area while following all safety regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Observe all safety protocols and maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of related product support experience or demonstrated ability to perform job duties.
- Ability to operate moving and saw equipment while meeting OSHA safety qualifications.
- Forklift operator certification may be required.
- Proficiency in computer terminal operations.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand relevant forms and specifications.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Day shift
