What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Biology Teacher position at Pinole Valley High School?
Emery High is a great place, small, nimble and ready to grow. We a one person science department (and he's great) but it has been all Physical Science and Integrated Science (to satisfy the Life Science requirement) now we are prepared to do Biology for real. This is a part time job to start. Two periods a day of Biology. Probably offered to our juniors, and it will be a graduation requirement for them, so incentive should not be a problem. If you are up for it, you become the whole Life Science part of our school. If it works, we are another year away from offering either AP Biology or AP Environmental Science and making you more full time. But maybe all you want is a part time gig. The job begins next school year, August of 2025 through June 2026. We work on a block schedule and can set this up so you teach two classes one day or one class two days. We can be flexible, since we haven't yet built the master schedule. If this sounds like you, reach out and we can make this happen. A sweet little school hoping to become a destination.
