Paint and Sip ART INSTRUCTOR

Are you a creative and energetic artist who enjoys sharing your love of art with others while having fun? If you answered yes, then join our team of artists at Pinot's Palette, a paint & sip art studio in Hackettstown! Guide experienced and inexperienced painters step-by-step in our studio and venues throughout NJ/NY/PA while ensuring everyone enjoys their experience.

Prior experience as an art instructor is required! The ideal person for this job is a self-starter who has an outgoing personality, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and energetically with our team of artists. This job is tons of fun, but it requires lots of hustle!

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Duplicate paintings from our copyrighted "Master Painting Library" to be taught in classes and used for promotional items (must be submitted a minimum of 2 weeks before your scheduled class)
• Instruct & assist guests during class in an energetic, entertaining, clear, and well-paced manner while encouraging creativity in a relaxed and fun environment.
• Provide extraordinary customer service to our guests both in person and on the phone
• Provide thorough, accurate, and detailed set up and clean up of the studio before and after classes (including, but not limited to: moving tables/chairs, climbing a ladder to adjust cameras & lighting, scrubbing brushes/tables/bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, etc.)
• Prepare for, coordinate, and execute mobile events (reliable transportation is a MUST)

Required Skills/Abilities:

• STRONG painting skills with a background in Fine Arts - Painting
• STRONG customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• STRONG time management & reliability (must always arrive to work on time & be able to manage class flow to ensure classes start and end on time)
• Ability to anticipate needs and execute solutions independently
• Ability to teach any age or group (kids classes, corporate parties, adult nights out)

Preferred Education/Experience:

• College Degree in Art or Design related field (or working toward it)
• Experience teaching groups of people OR a strong desire to learn
• Extensive experience in customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
