Job Summary
Pinot’s Palette, a leader in the Paint-and-Sip industry with over 90 locations in the United States and Canada, is excited to need some charismatic art instructors as we continue to grow! Customers will follow your instruction while they paint on their own stretched canvas with acrylic paint. The ideal person for this job will have an outgoing personality, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, positive attitude and the ability to work quickly and energetically with our team of artists.
General Accountabilities
- Selects the necessary materials and supplies, such as brushes and paint.
- Reviews the painting before the class to become familiar with it and practices when necessary.
- Plans how to explain the steps to attendees.
- Sets up the classroom before students arrive.
- Administers paint to attendees.
- Explains and demonstrates different painting techniques.
- Occasionally creating and developing paintings to be taught in classes and used for promotional items.
- Instructing customers during class in an energetic, clear and well-paced manner while encouraging creativity and creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
- Assisting customers and staff member(s) to ensure smooth class flow and promote customer painting success through teamwork and positive attitude.
- Prepares customers drink orders from our bar and checking identification for drinks containing alcohol.
- Ability to use our Point of Sale system and cash register.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: Two to three years of related experience.
- Ability to design and execute quality, acrylic paintings in various painting styles
- Basic computer skills and internet knowledge
- Public speaking or performance skills (comfortable speaking on a microphone)
- Time management and communication skills
- Must have a reliable means of transportation
- College Degree in Art or Design related field or related professional experience
- Some experience leading a group of people (classroom or otherwise)
- Some experience in customer service
- Can safely and comfortably lift supplies weighing up to 25 lbs
