What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Pinpoint Personnel?
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors and organizes daily lab compliances.
Coordinates and prepares work schedule for technician coverage in accordance with business needs.
Assists with prioritizing and coordinating workflow and assists in the delegation of work assignments,
matching the responsibility to the person.
Verifies the calibration and /or calibrates and maintains laboratory & operational equipment.
Oversees and coordinates training of new technicians.
Responsible for FIFO in conjunction with raw material inventory count.
Employee training related to Quality assurance training programs, including but not limited to GMPs,
HACCP, Food Security, Allergen, and SQF related training.
Assists with complaint investigations and trend analysis.
Assists with lab coverage and performs lab functions as needed.
Assists with ensuring testing is performed safely and in accordance with Standard Testing Procedures.
Audits mixing operation for conformance to process specifications.
Audits production for conformance to process and package specifications.
Monitor all aspects of production for compliance to GMP’s and SOP’s.
Document Control (Specifications/SOP changes).
Inform the QA Manager of any out-of-spec situations or negative trends.
Assist in the preparation and administration of Quality Audits.
Follows instructions and responds to management direction.
Involvement in new product commissioning’s, mock recalls, FDA, USDA and 3rd party audits.
Serves as primary backup to the Quality Assurance Manager and as backup HACCP documentation reviewer.
Writes and speaks clearly and informatively and able to read and interpret written information.

Education and/or Experience
One to three years experience in a Food or Beverage Manufacturing Quality Assurance role.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to
write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to read measurements in all forms. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software;
Inventory software; Spreadsheet software (Excel) and Word Processing software (Word) and Database
software (Access).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
HACCP Certification and SQF Practitioner Certification desirable.

High school diploma and demonstrated ability to perform this position.
