Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the restaurant's point-of-sale system, such as OpenTable.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently while adhering to basic math principles for transactions.
- Uphold restaurant policies regarding guest relations and service standards at all times.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary background is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and enhance their dining experience.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of menu items and kitchen processes.
- Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
