Leading, wildly successful carrier is looking for an Inside Sales Representative!
Approximately 50% of the time will be devoted to calling potential customers to solicit business.
Responsibilities :
Research, qualify, cold call, quote, and follow up with potential new accounts.
Generate informed sales leads for distribution to local and overseas sales teams.
Reply to requests for help, rates and service information.
Follow up on proposals submitted to potential customers.
Manage service contracts including filing of rates, terms and amendments.
Assist sales, customer service, and other colleagues as needed.
Maintain records of customer data and all activities in the system.
Weekly reporting of sales activities to management.
Requirements :
Approximately 2-3 years inside sales or customer service experience.
Familiar with transportation / logistics / shipping / maritime industry a plus.
Disposition suited for sales and exemplary customer service i.e. thick skin!
Excellent communication, relationship-building, prioritization and computer skills.
Comfortable making cold calls, following up, and keeping detailed records.
