Established and successful freight forwarder is looking to welcome a new outside sales professional who loves the crazy logistics industry! The successful individual will generate new business nationwide in the areas of :
- Imports & Exports
- Air & Ocean
- Domestic Trucking
- Value-added Services (warehousing, distribution, insurance, Customs brokerage, and so on)
Position Highlights :
Research, contact, secure, and retain new accounts.
Acquire new areas of business from existing clients.
Track all activities in CRM and monitor progress.
Meet assigned targets for volume / revenue / profit.
Respond to rate requests, RFQs, RFIs, bids.
Follow market conditions, trends, and developments.
Travel for client meetings, industry events and trade shows.
Address shortfalls, lost business, and problems with urgency.
Evaluate competitiveness of Company's pricing and services.
Collaborate with operations on SOP creation.
Requirements :
Appx. 2-3 years of experience in the logistics industry.
Desire to hustle and succeed in freight forwarding sales.
Understanding of cargo transportation services.
Continuous pipeline of opportunities to qualify and develop.
Ability to cultivate and maintain strong business partnerships.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
