Mission:
The Admissions Specialist will report to the Director of Admissions. The mission of the role is to provide quality analysis at all stages of the admissions process, ensuring a timely applicant experience. The role requires excellent judgment to successfully evaluate applications, ensuring that both candidates and internal partners have a responsive and solution-oriented experience. The Admissions Specialist is charged with ensuring the highest level of selectivity based on the standards of the organization, balanced with supporting recruitment goals for each term.
Key Criteria/Requirements:
The Admissions Specialist is responsible for thoroughly understanding the Pioneer program and mission and using these principles to determine optimal placement. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with quickly evolving metrics that require detail orientation, excellent judgment, and the ability to consider the many factors that affect placement decisions.
- Graduate of a prominent American university with a bachelor's degree or higher
- 3 years of exposure to admissions, preferably in a global program
- Proven experience in driving and owning academic results, with a strong preference for a focus on the academic admissions process and student placement
- Consistently strong communication skills and relationship management with internal partners, departments, and leadership
- Demonstrate successful execution and understanding of the Admissions process and cycle
- Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy data organization and analysis with the ability to work in shared databases
- Proven mastery of technical skills relating to telecommunications and data management systems (Zoom, Slate, Excel, Google Suite, etc.)
