Position: Primary Therapist - Evening (6-9pm)
Location: Longmeadow, Massachusetts
As a Primary Therapist at Pioneer Behavioral Health, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting individuals grappling with substance use disorder. You'll serve as a cornerstone in our client care framework, working closely with our Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Additionally, you'll actively participate in collaborative efforts with the Treatment Team to develop comprehensive Master Treatment Plans and assist in facilitating smooth discharge processes.
Specific Duties:
1. Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.
2. Share pertinent information with the team obtained from the client's family or other sources throughout the program.
3. Attend daily and weekly staffing meetings as per schedule.
4. Evaluate the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
5. Facilitate group therapy sessions.
6. Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients/families (one hour per week per client).
7. Document the assessment of client progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record on an ongoing basis.
8. Conduct chart audits of internal caseloads weekly.
9. Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations and provide necessary interventions.
10. Respond to and assist in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
11. Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and physicians.
12. Attend and actively participate in monthly Program Staff meetings as scheduled.
13. Adhere to all policies and procedures.
