Grant Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY


The Grant Administrator is responsible for maintaining financial, accounting and grant support services in order to meet the needs of the organization and the granting authority. The Grant Administrator performs the accounting and financial service functions for programs funded by public grants or special revenue. These functions may include, but are not limited to: preparing financial statements, projections and budgets, actual vs. budget reporting, reviewing/monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance with local, state, federal and private fund requirements. Working closely with the Grant Writer and Accounting Manager, the Grant Administrator is responsible for the primary operations of post-award grant administration, Results Plus database management/reporting, compliance, budgeting, variance analysis functions and related accounting duties. Secondary function includes on a limited basis coordination of pre-award grant administration such as writing standard public grants, approval and submission. This position will be required to answer inquiries from external auditors.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
•     Coordinate with key personnel (Fund Development, Programs and Finance/Accounting) at all levels to support proper and timely expenditure of grant funds in compliance with applicable guidelines and grant deadlines.  
•     Review and develop a thorough understanding of all current Pioneer Center public grant contracts and supporting programs.  
•     Develop positive working relationships to foster collaborative environment for grant coordination and oversight.
•     Perform ad hoc financial analysis in response to requests or to provide support to various program.  
•     Support required external state, federal and local agency audits.  
•     Work independently to oversee the maintenance, reporting and stewardship of all grant revenues and expenditures. 
•     Research opportunities for new grants with primary focus on Private Foundations/Corporations to support the three service pillars and programs. 
•     Responsible for the Grant Database Management including adding new grants, reporting, maintenance and analysis.  
    
•     Prepare and Lead monthly grant meetings to internal stakeholders (CEOs, Program Directors, Finance Managers and Grant Coordinator)
•     Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.  
•     Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:    Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Finance or Accounting, preferred.

Experience:     3 plus years of experience in non-profit Grant Accounting, preferred.

Computer Skills:    Microsoft Office, Candidate must have strong aptitude for learning and utilizing software programs and/or on-line resources (including Bi360, Results Plus, Intacct and Paycom).
