REQUIRED: Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities – Birth-2
QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED:
- Experience with students ages 3 – 4; varied present levels of Preschoolers with a Disability.
- Experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. Common Core and its relationship to student growth and success.
- Desire and knowledge to embed structured learning experiences around the five broad developmental domains, Specially Designed Instruction considerations when co-planning. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, students, related service providers, support staff and administration.
- Desire and ability to work collaboratively with direct and indirect academic teams. Evidence of support of inclusive learning activities and learning environment.
- Knowledge and evidence of Individualized Education Programming and subsequent document development.
- Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement within the classroom; behavior intervention supports and data collection when needed. Commitment to ongoing team development, curriculum and professional development and instructional technology.
