  • A well-established, Scottish-owned golf travel company in Austin, TX (located at Bee Cave Rd & Loop 360) that organizes golf trips for its customers.
  • The largest golf tour operator servicing Scotland. Scotland is the #1 destination worldwide for the traveling golfer. The 3rd largest golf tour operator servicing Ireland/Northern Ireland.
  • An “Authorized Provider” of tee times for The St Andrews Old Course, arguably the most famous golf course in the world and certainly the oldest.
  • Current focus is Scotland and Ireland but expanding destination offerings and looking forward to growing significantly over the next few years.
  • Currently, we are a team of 24 individuals.
  • The company is well-poised to grow significantly, and we are in the process of building a great team. Revenues have doubled this year as compared to our best previous year due to focus on growth.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Business Process Manager. This position entails managing and improving our internal processes in order to gain operational efficiencies while helping us deliver a 5-star experience to our clients. Candidates must be analytical and great problem solvers and have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills (both written and oral). We are looking for a proven project manager to analyze and improve our business processes and workflow. The ideal candidate will relish the challenge of improving our business process and working with multiple departments to realize operational efficiencies.

Position is in-office (not remote or hybrid) and hours are 7am to 4pm to avoid Austin traffic and to overlap more with working hours in Europe.

  • You have at least 3 years of experience managing at least a handful of direct reports.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate current operating procedures, business processes, and day-to-day operations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate/collaborate in the development and implementation of company guidelines, processes, new standard operating procedures, and educational training opportunities.
  • Introduce technological platforms to better manage processes.
  • Design and build a knowledge management system.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Lead and supervise a team of employees, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist in navigating through a period of high growth as we ramp up our operations department to keep up with sales.
  • We’re a small company… so pitching in elsewhere when necessary is a requirement.

Required qualifications/experience

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Operations Management, Business Workflow process improvement, and/or Project Management of a team or process.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supervising employees and managing their performance. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and self-directed with the ability to prioritize and efficiently execute against a variety of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of business development strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong conflict management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Comfortable with decision making in ambiguous and unorthodox situations.
  • Comfortable with wearing many hats and adapting to our growth and providing direction and leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of golf.
  • Experience in the travel industry.
  • Google Suite or Microsoft Office experience.
  • Success operating in a start-up environment with autonomy.

Salary:

$80,000 - $120,000 dependent on experience.

  • Total of 27-29 days (approximately 5-6 weeks) of paid time off classified as follows: Vacation: 10 days - beginning at 10 days annually and increasing with tenure (accrues monthly), December Holiday Reward: 5 days - December holiday reward of an additional 5 days (accrues depending on start date) and also serves as reward for helping with our emergency phone, Personal/sick days annually: 5 days (accrues monthly), and 7-9 paid Public Holidays annually

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite: 2 years
