Overview
Job Summary
Assist in daily operations of the blasting department, assuring quality of products, and assisting with coordinating and completing department operations to meet production needs.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Hangs/removes parts from the line.
- Inspects and approves products staged for movement to the next department.
- Enters and moves all incoming and outgoing products, via the tracking system, through the blast department.
- Routes correct production to each workstation.
- Knowledge of all mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment to blast parts to meet production levels and troubleshoot simple repairs.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and well-kept department.
- Ensures the department as a whole produces a quality product efficiently and safely.
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Work Environment
- Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, and compressed air.
- Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.
- Various chemicals are used in the process.
- Must be able to repetitively bend, lift, kneel, and twist.
- Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day along with the ability to push and pull wheeled carts.
Education/Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
