Pioneer Physicians Network is looking to hire a Medical Office Manager to join our team. We are looking for a manager for our Family Practice Associates office in Massillon.
Job Description:
In addition to other duties as assigned, this position primarily exists to direct, plan and coordinate the services in the medical office setting to ensure the needs of the patients are being met.
Qualifications:
1. Must have an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
2. Must have two years administrative experience including one year of medical office experience.
3. Familiarity with complex administrative institutions is helpful.
4. Knowledge of medical practice, and finance and medical terminology is necessary.
5. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Must demonstrate leadership and managerial skills; ability to assume and delegate responsibility.
7. Must have ability to manage time and energies in an efficient and effective manner.
8. Must have the ability to deal with people of all levels of backgrounds.
9. Must have a willingness to assume responsibility for facilitating the orderly flow of work.
10. Must demonstrate ability to successfully handle stressful situations.
11. Must work flexible hours as needed.
12. Must be comfortable and have strong knowledge of the computer and all Microsoft programs.
General Duties:
General duties include, but are not limited to, the following abilities:
1. Maintain an orderly and efficiently run office.
2. Delegate responsibilities over various work activities and functions to personnel.
3. Assist the Administrator and Physicians in development and implementation of short and long-term work plans and objectives.
4. Monitor work status and progress of staff; assist in the development of clerical staff; maintain personnel records of all staff. Monitor employee performance and hold staff accountable for their established performance standards.
5. Communicate to personnel and office issues to the administrator in a timely manner.
6. Monitor the allocation of resources in the department to contribute to attaining departmental financial performance goals and productivity standards.
7. Manage jointly, with Physicians, through appropriate use of decision making and conflict resolution skills.
8. Monitor the environment and quality of care administered in the office setting.
9. Implement the team philosophy, standards, policies and procedures.
10. Ensure that patients are treated courteously by office staff and that other visitors are screened and properly directed.
11. Work with the Administrator to ensure efforts are coordinated and high quality care is provided to the patients.
12. Maintain positive internal and external customer relations.
13. Apply management knowledge.
14. Understand and utilize all automated systems required by the office.
15. Perform other related work as necessary to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow and patient satisfaction.
5. Requires the ability to communicate with patients, office personnel and the community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
